Vermont Governor Phil Scott Thursday urged lawmakers to act fast to reform the state’s education system, doubling down on a 176-page plan he presented last week to overhaul the state’s education system in the next two years.
Scott said he's appreciative school districts kept their spending tight to not raise property taxes as much as last year so the state can try and buy down the statewide average increase of 6%.
