This year, McClung is averaging 24.0 points, 6.0 assists and 3.2 rebounds while shooting 52.4% from the field.
For years, fans have complained about the NBA Dunk Contest not having big stars. In the last decade, the only time fans have been invested in it is when Zach LaVine and Aaron Gordon were a part of it.
McClung has won each of the past two dunk contests and will be looking to become the first player since the event’s inception in 1984 to three-peat. Nate Robinson, who came out on top in 2006, 2009 and 2010, is the only player to win the dunk contest more than twice.
Magic guard Mac McClung is officially locked in for the 2025 Slam Dunk Contest during All-Star Weekend in San Francisco, according to ESPN's Shams
