Anduril, the AI defense company founded by tech billionaire and VR headset mogul Palmer Luckey, announced plans to build a factory in Columbus, Ohio on Thursday. They’re calling the plant Arsenal-1, claim it will be a “hyperscale” facility, and promise it’ll bring more than 4,000 jobs to the region.

Anduril, a defense and aerospace contractor, has selected a site in Columbus for Arsenal-1, the company’s first hyperscale weapons manufacturing facility. The Southern California-based firm plans to invest approximately $1 billion of its own capital into the development.
On top of bringing over 4,000 jobs, the development will also bring in more tax revenue helping schools and roads in the area ...
It's the largest single job creation and payroll project that Ohio has announced.
