Only living into her mid-20s, Ankhesenamun became the Queen of Egypt during the 18th Dynasty when she married King Tut.
Using new techniques, the so-called Egyptian Mummy Project proved that one of them is the mother of Tut’s two stillborn daughters —likely Ankhesenamun, who was Tut’s only wife.
Queen Nefertiti, who may have ruled Egypt before her son, King Tutankhamun, lived around 3,300 years ago. Her tomb has never been found.
Ankhesenamun, who is referred to as "Egypt’s lost princess," was one of the six daughters of king Akhenaten and queen Nefertiti.
