It comes as California Attorney General Rob Bonta said he won't run for California governor in 2026 and instead endorsed Harris for the position. Newsweek has contacted Harris for comment via email.
Asked during her visit on Thursday if she was considering running for governor of California, Ms. Harris did not give a direct answer, but did not rule it out either.
