Tropical Storm Alvin is sending large swells toward portions of western mainland Mexico and the Baja California peninsula.

The first tropical storm of the Eastern Pacific hurricane season formed on Thursday morning and will turn toward Mexico.

A forecast map shows the expected path for Tropical Storm Alvin as it moves through the Eastern Pacific southwest of Mexico. Alvin became the 2025 season's first named storm after forming on Thursday.
