Nestled in 86 wooded acres on an existing wildlife refuge in West Milford, organizers say the Last Resort Wildlife Refuge will be the state's first 24/7, fully equipped hospital to treat wild animals.

The Huntington Beach nonprofit says 45% of the 8,000 wildlife it cares for annually comes from OC Animal Care's service area.
