The famed director James Cameron spoke to Disney about expanding the universe with an animated series and other spinoffs.

We see two new Na'vi tribes in the trailer: the Wind Traders and the Ash People clan, the latter of whom seem to represent most of the menace in the film. We see the Ash People using fire as a weapon, with one of the aliens even seeming to be able to wield it on her bare hands without hurting herself.
