In October, Google announced that it would update Chrome on Android to support third-party autofill providers. This was originally set to appear in Chrome 131 in November. But that milestone apparently came and went, because Google revealed today that it will instead make the change in Chrome 135, which arrives in April.

Google Maps for Android is now prompting users about “early access to customize your vehicle icon’s style & color.” This “Your ride, your way” card is appearing for some users when they search for Drive directions.

Similarly, Google has remained steadfast on keeping YouTube Premium separate from its entire subscription line up. The only deal available on YouTube Premium right now comes from Verizon, which is an option in its perk bundle at $10 a month—saving $3.99.

The change in Google Maps on Android Auto had a big impact due to the limited screen space on many Android Auto devices. Google responded to feedback quickly by reverting to the previous design after users expressed frustration.

It now has improved map utilization on all screen sizes and returns of right-aligned UI elements when not navigating.
