Syrians and a Bosnian were among the 10 victims of a gunman who carried out the worst shooting in Swedish history, at a school in Orebro on Tuesday. It was the first information about those murdered in the attack, and it came from two embassies rather than police, who only said there were victims of a number of nationalities.

Five people have been shot at a school in central Sweden but police say the extent of their injuries is not yet known. The shooting appears to have happened at a Komvux, or adult education centre, in Orebro, 200km (124m) west of Stockholm before 13:00 local time (12:00 GMT).

Sweden's right-wing government said on Friday it would seek to tighten gun laws in the wake of the country's deadliest mass shooting at an adult education centre where the attacker appeared to have used several of his own licensed rifles.
