The body of a young Ukrainian woman who died in Russian captivity after being held incommunicado for many months was returned to Ukraine with several organs removed and showing signs of torture, Ukrainian prosecutors have said.

Russia returned Vicktoriia Roshchyna's emaciated body with signs of torture and some organs removed, possibly to hide further traces of torture, the report said.

Ukrainian journalist Viktoriia Roshchyna was tortured during the time she spent in Russian detention, and several of her organs, including her brain, were removed before her body was returned,
