A 29-year-old Flint man who allegedly gunned down a clinical psychologist who'd stopped to help him after he drove his car into a ditch near Oxford High School Christmas Eve was charged Saturday with the woman's murder and other alleged crimes and was ordered to be held in jail without bond, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said.

OXFORD, Mich. — A victim of a shooting in Oxford, Michigan Tuesday night has died from their injuries. Three people were hospitalized as a result of the shooting, with the other two currently on the road to physical healing, according to officials.

There appears to be no connection between the shooter, the victim, or the location where it happened, sheriff Michael Bouchard told FOX 2 on Thursday. Instead, he called the random shooting an “incredibly violent rampage.

Tuesday’s shooting killed one and wounded two. It occurred about 6:30 p.m. on Ray Road between Lapeer and North Oxford roads, a 1-mile stretch of largely empty land flanked by the high school to the east and a shopping plaza to the west.
