A bill recently introduced at the Arizona Legislature is attempting to amend the state's assault laws in response to the death of 16-year-old Preston Lord in Queen Creek. House Bill 2611 adds a provision to the definition of aggravated assault that would include a physical assault involving a person who is aided by two or more accomplices a Class 4 felony.
