World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler has officially withdrawn from the second PGA Tour event of the 2025 season amid his recent injury.

The American Express is played Jan. 16-19 in La Quinta, Calif. Scheffler won eight times on the PGA Tour last year, claimed the gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics and won the PGA Tour Player of the Year award a third consecutive year. He finished T6 at the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Scheffler’s agent Blake Smith said Scheffler’s next scheduled tournament will be The American Express from Jan. 16-19.
