The Minnesota Timberwolves traded Karl-Anthony Towns to the Knicks based in part because they craved flexibility.

ESPN's André Snellings proposed a trade that would ship Julius Randle, a new member of the Minnesota Timberwolves, for a scoring guard.

In a proposed trade, Minnesota moves forward Julius Randle to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for R.J. Barrett and Davion Mitchell. While this trade works financially, realistically, the Wolves would have to add some future draft picks to make this transaction more enticing for the Raptors.

Julius Randle was a key to the Timberwolves' victory against the Pelicans, and Chris Finch gave him his flowers.

Minnesota has All-Star Julius Randle, reigning Sixth Man of the Year Naz Reid, and reigning Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert all situated in their frontcourt. That talented trio poses a variety of threats to the Knicks, even with a healthy Towns in the lineup.
