Palmer Luckey’s AI Defense Company Anduril Is Building a $1 Billion Plant in Ohio
Anduril, the AI defense company founded by tech billionaire and VR headset mogul Palmer Luckey, announced plans to build a factory in Columbus, Ohio on Thursday. They’re calling the plant Arsenal-1, claim it will be a “hyperscale” facility, and promise it’ll bring more than 4,000 jobs to the region.

Located at Rickenbacker International airport near Columbus, Anduril's "Arsenal-1" facility will be the company's first attempt at reaching what it calls "hyper-scale" production capacity of delivering tens of thousands of autonomous weapon systems annually.
The company said its Columbus plant could eventually produce tens of thousands of autonomous systems and weapons each year.
