The Bell County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported drowning at Stillhouse Hollow Lake Monday afternoon.

Just over a month after a riot at the Liberty County Jail, the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fire at the facility.

The Morgan’s Point Resort Dive Team has recovered the body of a person believed to have drowned in Stillhouse Hollow Lake. A 911 call received abut 3:15 p.m.

Though the condition of the injured jail officer is not yet known, officials told ABC13 his injuries were minor. What started the fire remains unclear.
