A 23-year-old man accused of murdering a man during a mass street altercation in Dublin city centre was allegedly captured on CCTV stabbing him four times, a court has heard. Quham Babatunde, who was aged in his 30s, was fatally injured on Dublin’s South Anne Street in the early hours of Saturday.

A man in his 60s has died after a fatal assault in Malahide, County Dublin, Gardaí (Irish police) have said. It happened at Gainsborough Lawn at about 08:30 local time. Police said the victim was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.

Jeffrey Bangu, 21, of Cardy Rock Crescent in Balbriggan, Co Dublin appeared before Dublin District Court charged with Section 3 assault causing harm to Quaham Babatunde at Duke Lane Dublin 2 on February 15.
