Officers responding to a distress call in Carroll County found a harrowing scene, where multiple dogs were attempting to escape a home through a broken window and smaller puppies through a dryer vent.

Police in Carrollton, Kentucky, are trying to track down a suspect after several dogs were seen trying to escape from a broken window at a home.

"I always check the dryer when he's around because it's been a fear of mine. I didn't even see him come in the laundry room and of course the one time I didn't check, he was in there," Ruvalcaba said.
