The Fairfield Inn & Suites Pensacola Beach at 16 Via de Luna Drive, opened just days before the busiest week on the beach, Blue Angels weekend.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — An investigation is underway following a fire inside the pool room at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in the Oceanfront area Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

With an open-air restaurant 13 feet above sea level, a massive lazy river and a stunning view, the new Fairfield Inn & Suites is ready for visitors.

Pensacola Beach's new Fairfield Inn and Suites will have 209 rooms, a pool and lazy river, a dune walkover and a pool bar. The cost is $75 million.

The Fairfield Inn and Suites is on the site of the former Best Western Beachside Resort. The resort was destroyed after being severely damaged during Hurricane Sally in 2020.
