The director of national intelligence intensified attacks on assessments about Russia’s role in the 2016 presidential election.
In a Fox News segment, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard accused former President Barack Obama of the very thing she has recently come under fire for. Gabbard has continued on her warpath against Obama as the Trump administration faces attacks from all sides after failing to release classified files related to Jeffrey Epstein.
One day after President Donald Trump accused former President Barack Obama of treason over the intelligence assessment that Russia interfered in the 2016 election and sought to help Trump, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard declassified a highly sensitive congressional report she claimed was more evidence of a “treasonous conspiracy.
A spokesperson for Obama denounced Trump's claims, saying "these bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction."
RCP's Phil Wegmann asked Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard during Wednesday's WH briefing to comment on the response from President Obama's office to her report that he tried to engineer a "coup" against President Trump after the 2016 election.
