MCKINLEY COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) — Interstate 40 eastbound is temporarily closed near the New Mexico and Arizona border on Thursday afternoon, according to the McKinley County Sheriff’s Office.
In northeast Arizona, Interstate 40 is under a heavy load, serving between 20,750 to 27,600 vehicles per day, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT).
