NEW YORK (AP) — Jean Stapleton, who played Edith Bunker in the groundbreaking 1970s TV comedy "All in the Family," has died. She was 90.

Norma Jean Stapleton passed away at the age of 93 after living a long and happy life. She was born 11/27/1931 in Des Moines, IA. Norma graduated from North High School in January 1950.

Sally Struthers starred on "All in the Family" alongside Jean Stapleton, Carroll O'Connor and Rob Reiner from 1971 to 1979.
