Knoxville will follow the example of Chattanooga, Memphis and Nashville to reopen an antique bridge for pedestrians.

Detours will be posted. Crews have been working for months on a new interchange connecting I-55 to the bridge and to Crump Boulevard on the Memphis side. The closure will allow that work to continue.
