James Borrego is reportedly staying put after missing out on the New York Knicks' head coaching job. According to SNY's Ian Begley and Fred Katz of The Athletic, Borrego is returning to the New Orleans Pelicans next season after serving as their associate head coach last season.

The New York Knicks have confirmed the hiring of Mike Brown as the team’s new head coach. Brown, a two-time NBA Coach of the Year, replaces Tom Thibodeau, who was fired by the Knicks last month after guiding the franchise to its deepest playoff run in 25 years.

Mike Brown, who emerged within the past week as the leading candidate, was stamped as Tom Thibodeau’s replacement after a meeting with James Dolan, ending a monthlong search with more plot twists than a season of “Breaking Bad.”
