Shaggy, Scooby, Daphne, Fred and Velma will come to life in a new live-action TV series from Netflix billed as a first-of-its-kind presentation of the beloved cartoon “Mystery, Inc.” gang.

The new series, which does not yet have a release date, will explore the origin story of the Mystery Inc. gang.

Netflix has confirmed details about the brand-new live-action Scooby-Doo series. Last year, it was reported that a new show, written by Josh Appelbaum (the Michael Bay Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films) and Scott Rosenberg (the revived Jumanji films), was "nearing a deal" at the streaming service.
