Newhalem Creek Campground is located in North Cascades National Park in Washington State, right off State Route 20 (North Cascades Highway).

Nehalem Bay State Park, in Manzanita on the north Oregon coast, will reopen most of its campground July 1 after a seven-month closure, the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department announced Monday.

Highway 20 was closed near Newhalem on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 19, because of a spreading wildfire sparked by lightning.

The popular campground in Tillamook County is close to the beach and Nehalem Bay. It has campsites, yurts and recreational vehicle hookups.
