A Russian missile strike near a playground in central Ukraine killed 19 people, including nine children. The attack was a painful reminder that a cease-fire remains as distant as ever.

The city's Kyivskyi, Industrial, and Osnovyanskyi districts were targeted, with Mayor Ihor Terekhov reporting at least 20 "hits." Six fires broke out over a total area of more than 1200 square meters.
