Nintendo has finally revealed the Switch 2 — but it didn’t reveal everything. Even still, the new console looks pretty much like a bigger, more refined Switch. Sure, that’s the straightforward and expected move from Nintendo. But it’s also exactly what I’ve been waiting for.

Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders have gone live for the first time via one retailer, who may have also leaked the Nintendo Switch 2 price.

The Switch 2 has plenty of potential, but certain important aspects of the console have yet to be revealed, and could be very important.

The Nintendo Switch 2, the successor to the Nintendo Switch system, will be released in 2025, the company said. In a new promotional video, Nintendo showcases a larger version of the Switch that looks similar to its predecessor. The video also shows the system’s controllers, or Joy-Cons, now attach to the side of the main unit rather than slide in.

Nintendo stock has bounced back after the dip it hit following the Switch 2 announcement, and now it's at its highest level ever. To everyone who doubted my (not financial) advice to buy the dip, bet you wish you did now.

Details of what the Nintendo Switch 2 can actually do are somewhat scare at the moment, but there's one thing it could do to surpass the first Switch.
