KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Tourism Product Development Company (TPDCo) has announced new rates for rafting on the Rio Grande, one of Jamaica’s iconic attractions.
The Rio Grande, downstream of where we are, is considered ecologically sound because of fresh water spring flow. But where we’re rafting, and farther upstream, water quality isn’t quite as good.

Originally, rafting on the Rio Grande was used to transport farm produce. In particular, bananas were transported from the hills to Boundbrook Wharf for exportation.
