The Maryland Zoo welcomed a baby giraffe, but it was a surprise for everyone as staff had no idea Kipepeo was even pregnant!

Back in January we introduced you to Kipepeo, a now four-year-old giraffe who arrived at the Maryland Zoo in November 2024.

The yet-to-be-named giraffe was born March 27 after zookeepers discovered her mother was pregnant just the day before.
