The spending plan is about $3 billion less than the current year, and comes after a protracted negotiation between the House and Senate over tax cuts that delayed its approval.

Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the state's 2025-26 budget after vetoing $567 million in programs and projects tucked in by state lawmakers, leaving a $117.4 billion spending plan for the year beginning July 1.
