Luke Humphries started the Premier League with a win in Belfast. He beat Chris Dobey in the final 6-1 to pick up the £10,000 night bonus. He came into the tournament off the back of a victory at the World Darts Masters.

The world number one produced a finishing masterclass against Chris Dobey, having earlier beaten Nathan Aspinall and Michael van Gerwen.

Humphries went into the final as the favourite after strong performances over Aspinall and Van Gerwen, but Dobey, like all the players in the Premier League, wanted to win. So, Humphries would have to maintain his form to be crowned winner in Belfast.
