Ferris State joined an elite group of Division II football dynasties on Saturday, blasting Valdosta State, 49-14, for its third title in four years.

The Bulldogs jumped out to an early 21-0 lead over the Blazers and continued to cruise in the second half to a 49-14 win and secure the program’s third national championship in four years.

Trinidad Chambliss threw for three touchdowns and ran for two more as second-seeded Ferris State routed top-seeded Valdosta State 49-14 for its third NCAA Division II championship.
