There were tears, distress and disbelief for Italy's players after a 2-1 loss to England after extra time in the Women’s European Championship semifinals.

Defending champions England have advanced to the final of Euro 2025 with a dramatic 2-1 victory against Italy in extra time in Geneva. Substitute Chloe Kelly scored the winning goal in the 119th minute, setting a record for the latest goal in the history of the tournament as she slotted home her own rebound after her penalty was saved.

Four teams remain in the 2025 UEFA Women's Euro tournament, and after Tuesday's match between England and Italy, one of the spots in the final will be decided.
