Kim Kardashian has been a vocal advocate for the Menendez brothers, claiming that they had "no chance of a fair trial" when they were sentenced to life in 1996.

KIm Kardashian said she's "grateful" amid the Menendez brothers' possible resentencing and believes "in the justice system's ability to evolve."

She says the Menendez brothers, who were found guilty of killing their parents, "were granted a second chance at life."

Monsters' star Cooper Koch also wrote that the "recommendation has ignited a renewed sense of possibility that Lyle and Erik could finally be released after decades behind bars."

Koch and Kardashian visited the Menendez brothers in prison together in September. "Kim gets on the phone and starts asking me all these questions about Erik and about the brothers," Koch recalled in an interview with Variety. "Then she told me that she was going down there and asked me if I wanted to go with them. It all happened very quickly."

Kim Kardashian thanks L.A. County District Attorney George Gascón for recommending the Menendez brothers be resentenced and made eligible for parole.
