Vauxhall has closed its Luton plant after 120 years. The last van came off the production line on Friday with 1,100 jobs now on the line.

Vauxhall’s van-making factory in Luton, Bedfordshire, closed on Friday. Parent company Stellantis said it will now transfer “machinery and process knowledge” to its plant in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.
