Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo shared plenty of intimate scenes during their nine seasons together on NCIS. And the stars behind fan-favorite characters Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David say it's precisely that history which led them to turn down the use of an intimacy coordinator for their upcoming spinoff series NCIS: Tony & Ziva.

The first three episodes of NCIS: Tony & Ziva will premiere Thursday, September 4 on Paramount+, followed by a weekly rollout until the season finale airs on October 23. If you’re interested in the other NCIS shows still on the air, NCIS Season 23, NCIS: Origins Season 2 and NCIS: Sydney Season 3 will all premiere Tuesday, October 14 on CBS.

NCIS: Tony & Ziva’s Cote de Pablo revealed she rejected an intimacy coordinator for her scenes with onscreen love interest Michael Weatherly. De Pablo, 45, was asked about whether an intimacy coordinator was brought in for their Paramount+ spinoff series,
