A severe thunderstorm warning was issued in Adams County for Saturday afternoon as powerful thunderstorms moved through the area.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for southwestern Adams County and southeastern Franklin County until 11:30 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Randolph County in Indiana until 9 p.m. Parts of the region could see isolated strong to severe storms tonight. Storm Center 7 Weather Specialist will track the latest possibility for storms LIVE on News Center 7 at 11:00. There is a chance for thunderstorms north of Interstate 70 on Saturday.

The National Weather Service released a severe thunderstorm warning at 7:21 p.m. on Saturday in effect until 8 p.m. for Baker and Malheur counties.

Although tornado season is starting to die down just a bit, Mother Nature remains unforgiving this summer. Since there's a dangerous heat advisory in effect for several states, it's only natural that a few areas will get bombarded with thunderstorms.

Forecasters say some of the storms on Friday could pack a big punch, with heavy downpours, frequent lightning and damaging winds gusts.

A Thursday evening storm system that briefly included a tornado warning southwest of Ottawa is on its way out of the region.
