An 11-foot, 2-inch, 761-pound great white shark tagged by OCEARCH Feb. 28 has traveled nearly 1,000 miles to the Gulf coast of Florida.

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. -- "The Lulu Gribbin Shark Alert System Act" is making its way through the Alabama Legislature.

Lulu Gribbin, now 16, was one of three people bitten by a shark during a string of attacks off the Florida Panhandle. She lost her left hand and a portion of her leg.
