Digvijay “Danny” Gaekwad is a first-generation American entrepreneur and community leader based in Ocala, Florida. Born in Baroda, a former princely state in western India, as the son of a Judge and grandson of a Colonel in the Indian Army, he graduated in Political Science from the prestigious Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.

His flagship business, Danny Gaekwad Developing and Investments, is the parent company overseeing his real estate investments and other subsidiaries. Danny was a catalyst behind convincing President Bush to host the first ever Diwali Celebration at the White House in 2003. Today, it is an annual event at the White House and ten states celebrate including Danny’s home state, Florida.
