Mar 7, 2023 · After taking it to two Subaru dealerships and the 4X4 shop that installed the lift kit. It was diagnosed as a failing CV joint and tie rod bolt had loosened. Head technician said due to the extreme angle due to the lift (only 2 inches) was causing the CV to fail. They said modifications should have been made to better align the axle.

Maybe show a little grace and don't show up to useful threads to crap on other's plans. Also a useful update: I've gone on a couple short roadtrips with the Primitive Lift Kit installed, riding on stock tires & rims.

Jan 3, 2021 · I can’t say that I’ve ever known anyone that did a ~1” lift that was happy with it (unless they were just doing it as a “leveling” kit to fix suspension sag). I get your driveline angle concerns. I’ve dealt with that for previous vehicles. Personally...I’ll never lift another daily driver. Just my two cents.

A local dealer installed them with all the necessary extras (alignment, retorque after 10k, etc.). Since then, new front axles.
